Job Description

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work at a Correctional Institution in Tabor City, North Carolina. These are registry positions with our company.

36hrs Travel Package
Weekly Gross Pay = $648
Local Hourly Rate (Taxable) = $18
Weekly Travel Stipend Non-Taxed- goes to the net pay = $875 (Hotel-490 Meals-385)

Total Weekly ($875 is not taxed)= $1523
Feels like per hour = $42.31
$1523 div 36 hours = $42.31

Shifts Available:

  • 0900-2130
  • Evenings

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
  • Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records
  • Provide companionship and basic care to patients
  • Administer prescribed medications to patients


Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year (12 months) previous working experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Must have up to date credentials in the state of North Carolina
  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Qualified for travel rate if permanent residence is 50+ miles away
