Job Description

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work at a facility in Butner, NC. These are registry positions with our company. 40hrs Travel Package
Weekly Gross Pay = $760
Local Hourly Rate (Taxable) = $19
Weekly Travel Stipend Non-Taxed- goes to the net pay = $1225 (Hotel-749 Meals-476)

Total Weekly ($1225 is not taxed)= $1985
Feels like per hour = $49.63
$1985 div 40 hours = $49.63

Shift Details:

  • 8-hour shift Monday through Friday, 12: 00 am to 8: 30 pm, 13-week contract with possibility for renewal.
  • 12-hour shift;36/48 rotation, 6: 30 am to 7: 00 pm, 13-week contract with possibility to renew.

The requirements are:

  • At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • A valid and current RN license issued by the State of North Carolina.
  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
  • Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients. RN must be able to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
  • We need nurses with specific experience in adolescent, pediatric, school, public health, correctional-juvenile, and/or emergency nursing practice.
  • Will have excellent resources, but they must feel comfortable working in a juvenile justice facility with direct care staff
  • Qualified for travel rate if permanent residence is 50+ miles away

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides general nursing care to patients.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients.
  • Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
  • Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.
  • May make beds, bathe, and feed patients.
  • May serve as leader for group of personnel rendering nursing care to number of patients.
  • Additional RN duties given by Supervisor.
  • Will require them to work independently with the direct care staff
