Job Description

1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Full time SLP adult population. Primarily in outpatient, but may flex to inpatient as caseload dictates. Outpatient medical SLP for adult patients of all kinds.


2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Epic is the EMR. We have an Olympus FEES system


3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Fully licensed with 2 year outpatient experience. No CFYs
FEES experience preferred. LSVT Loud certification is also preferred.


4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
OR SLP license;BLS


5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
40 hrs/wk, may be 5 eight hour days, or 4 ten hour days


6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
Flowting to hospital if outpatient caseload drops


7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
NA


8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
8 patients per day, 45 minute treatments


9. Dress Code:
Business casual


10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
Must complete some elements online prior to starting. Must do 4 hours of Epic training (only available on Wednesdays) will receive additional job specific Epic training within the department.

There are two other part time SLPs on the team. The department manager is an SLP.
