Health Advocates Network is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to work at a Facility in Fremont, CA. This is a registry position with our company.

Job Description:

A Sign Language Interpreter facilitates communication between people who are deaf or hard of hearing and those who can hear. They translate spoken language into sign language and vice versa in various settings, such as meetings, medical appointments, educational environments, and public events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa.
  • Ensure accurate and clear communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing individuals and hearing individuals.
  • Adapt to different sign languages and communication styles as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Work in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, government offices, and events.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in sign language (American Sign Language or other relevant systems).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain neutral and impartial.
  • Certification in sign language interpretation (preferred).
  • Experience in interpreting in different contexts is a plus.
