Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a SPED Teacher M/S to work at a facility in Imperial Beach, CA. These are registry positions with our company.
Pay Rate: $60 - $65 / hour

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Special Day Class (SDC) Moderate/Severe teacher to join our team in California. As an SDC M/S teacher, you will work with students who have moderate to severe disabilities in a specialized and supportive educational setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and behavior specialists, to address student needs
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth and academic achievement
- Use evidence-based practices and assistive technology to support student learning and independence
- Conduct ongoing assessments and data collection to track student progress and inform instructional decisions
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student performance and behavior
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- California teaching credential in Special Education with a Moderate/Severe Disabilities authorization
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities in a special education setting
- Knowledge of best practices in special education, including behavior management and communication strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for students with disabilities
