Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work at a facility in Purchase, New York. These are registry positions with our company. *$100 Sign-On Bonus*
Pay Rate: $65 / hour

Shift details:
- 22.5 - 30 hours/week Monday - Friday
Specific duties include:
- Triage patients to ascertain their physical and mental status. This includes taking the appropriate vital signs and physical measurements and eliciting details and history of the present illness.
- If indicated, with clinician order, perform screening diagnostic tests such as urinalysis, peak flow, etc.
- Chart appropriately in the EMR and electronically route patient to clinician or discharge the patient.
- Refer the patient to a healthcare provider (HCP) within an appropriate time frame or advise the patient on self-care and preventive measures as well as warning of possible future symptoms that might necessitate further medical intervention.
- Telephone triage patients when indicated or refer to HCP.
- Administer first aid within scope of practice. Initiate emergency treatment for anaphylaxis when clinician is unavailable.
- Assist HCP with specific procedures, such as suture removal, gyn exams, etc.
- Prepare patients for HCP visits by completing history questionnaires, consent or other information sheets.
- Prepare lab requisitions and specimen containers with appropriate information.
- Perform specific in-house lab procedures, including phlebotomy Administer immunizations and prescribed medications.
- Administer non-patient specific standing orders, e.G., vaccines, ppds, HIV tests according to written protocol.
- Initiate appropriate patient recalls and document in chart. Scan lab results into EMR.
- Implement safe practices for infection control, including daily infection control measures, laundering of soiled linens and timely controls and maintenance of equipment and laboratory tests.
- Check inventory of medical supplies/pharmaceuticals and patient comfort supplies and note the need to reorder.
- Assist with ordering and restocking food/drink for patients.
Additional specifications, qualifications, experience or skill levels:
- NYS RN licensure
- CPR/AED certification
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2 years post-licensure experience in primary care ambulatory setting serving adolescents/young adults preferred
- Knowledge and experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably Medicat
