Required Certifications (i.E., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, prefer CNOR but not required
Common Cases General, ENT, laps, bariatric, burn, kidney transplant, ortho, neuro (including spine), urology, robotics (DaVinci XI), trauma (including MVA, GSW, crani's, fx)
No cardiac or eyes.
OR does not cover c-sections
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have level 1 trauma experience
Must have exp with all common cases as they will be required to cover call (robotics & bariatric not covered during call).
Skills check list should accurately reflect skill level and show proficiency in all common cases listed above
Scrubbing required - RN's Scrub experience is a plus but not required
Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge on days and evenings

Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) 8HR shifts days/evenings - Exact shifts determined at time of offer. Please ensure candidate can accomodate 8 hour shifts.
One monthly obligation on a weekend consisting of call and or work not to exceed sixteen hours.
When working a weekend (Sat/Sun) eight hour shift, staff will be provided a day off either week prior to or week after;for a 40 hour week.
Call shift(s) are exempt from the day off mentioned above.
One night/evening of call per week.

Reminder: Weekends begin with Friday overnight call and include all Saturday and Sunday.
Friday overnight call shift(s) are part of the Weekend whereas Sunday overnight call shift(s) are part of the week.
Weeknight/Call Requirements 1 weeknight call day per month (11p-7A)
Weekend/Call Requirements 1 weekend per month, will consist of 2 - 8HR shifts on your assigned weekend, travelers are filled in around perm staff
Holiday/Call Requirements NONE, manager will adjust schedule if holiday falls in the week to ensure hours met
What is call response time? 30 min
Floating Requirements YES, between main OR and Baylis as needed

Unit/Department specific orientation 1 day of virtual house orientation, 1 day in person onboarding, 1 day classroom work, 2 days in OR with preceptor
