3 12 hour night shift per week.
Every other weekend (Saturday / Sunday on Day Shift and either Friday / Saturday or Saturday / Sunday on night shift to follow unit patterns)
Every other Holiday (Days holidays are: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Nights holidays are: Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Year s Eve, Memorial Day Eve, the 3rd of July Nights, and Labor day Eve)

Floating: There are no contracts for Agency RN s that limit or make exemptions for floating
1.Inpatient (ICU, Step Down, Tele, Med-Surg) External Agency nurses will float prior to Core nurses floating.
2. External Agency Nurses are competent to float:
? ICU Nurses can float to Step down with full assignment and can float to Tele and Med-Surg with assignment of 4-5 patients on days and 5-6 patients on nights
? Step Down and Tele nurses can float to Med-Surg with full assignment (customarily 4-5 days and 5-6 nights, occasionally higher or lower based on acuity and coverage levels)
? Med-Surg nurses can float to like level of care units with full assignments
7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
56 bed unit split between two floors.
8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
1: 4-5 on days
1: 5-6 on nights.
Staffing matrix us such that not every nurses will be at their max ratio on any given shift, (for example not all RNs on nights would have 6 patients, it rotates.) additionally the charge Rn is 100% out of staffing or takes a patient assignment to less the load of floor RN when the acuity is high.
9. Dress Code:
Any color scrubs. No visible tattoos, no visible piercing except ears.
10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
Travel RNs typically are allowed 2 shifts for orientation and attend all ongoing education as required by staff. For example real time in-services on equipment changes/process changes.
