ICCU: The ICU environment is a strong team dynamic that can work very well with little direction and effectively solve large daily problems collectively, for example, obstacles with staffing or process changes. A stellar RN on this until will be a leader in midst of diversity that would be able to rise to the occasion during changes. A RN with a positive view that can positively influence peers is required for this time to work so well together. This team has a strong patient centered views and is flexible to new ideas and has the desire to research best practices. To be successful on this them you much be a nurse who is high functioning and self-driven.
Basic Function: Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive care of acutely ill patient. Provides care to all age groups through the proper utilization of the nursing process;assessment, formulation of nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of plan of care in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Responsible for supervising nursing staff to care for groups of patients.
Requirements: Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred. Licensed in the State of Illinois. Advanced skills in reading, writing and oral communication. Demonstrates knowledge of basic skills of professional nurse. 2-3 years experience preferred. Demonstrates skills in the use of clinical information systems, basic skills in keyboarding and use of computer systems.
