Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EPIC
Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2-3 years experience
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) RN, preferred CCM or ACM
Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) The person would not be alone but my staff does weekends.
Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) Resource Management covers all med/surg units alone with critical care and ED
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. We cover units usually 30-40 beds per unit
Dress Code: business casual or scrubs
Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. depending on the individual we generally do 1 week orientation with a staff member as a traveler.
