General job duties. Types of procedures required.
IV therapy for community and hospital discharged patients. To include antibiotic therapy, hydration, blood products, immunotherapy, phlebotomy, injections, central line/portacath access and maintenance, lab draws, home infusion teaching/maintenance and chemotherapy starting mid-November.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
IV pumps. Home infusion uses Cadd pumps and I-flows.
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Experience in IV therapy with excellent IV skills.
Chemotherapy will preferred /required after 11/15/21
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
BLS
Chemo certification - after 11/15/21)
Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
We are open 7 days/week. Monday - Friday, 0800-1800, with Saturday/Sunday by appointment only. Occasional weekends will be required, with normal work hours, 0730-1830. Team oriented enviornment, no solo work occures and no call is required.,

Currently we have 9 infusion chairs. After 11/15/21, in the new Cancer Center, we will have 33 chairs.
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
Typical number throughout the day is 6-8 patients, depending upon acuity.
