Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Psychologist or LCSW to work at a Correctional Institution in Tabor City, North Carolina. These are registry positions with our company.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Psychologist –Full-Time/Part-Time

Pay Rate: $98 (Independent Contractor)


Position Overview:
Health Advocates Network is seeking a qualified Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Psychologist to join our team to provide mental health services at multiple Department of Corrections (DOC) facilities across North Carolina. The successful candidate will conduct mental health assessments, individual therapy, and screenings for inmates, contributing to their rehabilitation and overall mental well-being. We are primarily looking for full-time candidates, but part-time applicants will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine patient needs and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Provide individual therapy to inmates, addressing a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders.
  • Perform mental health screenings to evaluate risk factors, provide early intervention, and identify appropriate treatment pathways.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within the DOC to ensure continuity of care and support.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports in accordance with DOC guidelines.
  • Comply with all DOC protocols, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the DOC or per the needs of the facility.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Psychologist in the state of North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in mental health services, preferably within a correctional or similar setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and experience with diverse mental health conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a structured environment.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Schedule:
This position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time opportunities. Specific work hours will be determined based on facility needs.
