Job Description
Staff Today, a Health Advocates Network, Inc. Division, is currently seeking a Psychologist to work at a facility in Porterville, California. This is registry position with our company Staff Today.
Pay Rate: $160 / hour
DUTIES
Psychologist duties shall include but are not limited to:
- Perform daily visits to residences.
- Review daily reports and communication boards daily. Address behavioral/psychological concerns with identified client(s) and document per facility policies.
- Attendance and participation in all interdisciplinary team meetings, Psychology Services Department meetings, and other meetings as assigned.
- Work with other disciplines to provide necessary training regarding client behavior support plans and behavioral interventions.
- Gather information and complete functional behavior assessments.
- Work with interdisciplinary team to discuss, prepare, and submit behavior management proposals/packets on clients with restrictive interventions.
- Perform psychological assessments and prepare psychological evaluations.
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy and counseling to clients.
- Provide crisis interventions, assessments, and follow ups as warranted.
- Prepare forensic assessments (e.G., trial competency, dangerousness, etc.) and other materials for court proceeding and provide testimony in court as required.
- Review new admission packet to identify potential services and supports necessary for impending admissions.
- Complete intake process for new admissions, including but not limited to mental status examination for the purpose of determining psychiatric diagnoses/needs, suicide risk factors, and violence risk factors.
- Provide consultation and psychology coverage as requested.
- Provide specialized training to improve psychology competencies as needed by the facility.
- Other duties as assigned by the Psychology Services Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Have an active and unrestricted Psychologist license in California
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience work which includes long-term care, acute care and forensic service.
- Must have experience conducting and writing psychological and forensic reports.
- Must have experience completing suicide risk assessments.
- Copies of licenses must be provided.
