Position Details The Lakeville Area School District School Psychologist supports students' academic, social, and emotional success through assessments, counseling, and collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals. Key responsibilities include conducting psychological evaluations, implementing interventions for learning and behavioral challenges, providing crisis support, and working with special education teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs). Core duties and responsibilities • Direct student support: Provide direct services, including counseling and social skills training, to address individual student needs. • Psychological assessments: Administer and interpret psychological and psychoeducational assessments to identify student needs. • Collaboration and consultation: Work with teachers, parents, administrators, and other mental health professionals to develop and implement support strategies. • Intervention and crisis management: Help students and families with behavioral and emotional challenges, including providing support during crises. • Special education support: Collaborate with special education teams to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). • Policy and practice: Work with school administrators to improve school-wide practices and policies that support student well-being. Qualifications • Licensure: Must possess or be eligible for a School Psychologist license in the State of Minnesota. • Experience: Previous experience working with K-12 students is often required.
