8a-5pm, M-F
Qualifications:
Must be state certified as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or meet the state guidelines for exceptions to certification.
Requires certification, immunization records, CPR from client.
Job Responsibilities:
Assists Provider/Nursing with patient care and rooming of clinic patients;properly fits and applies preoperative braces, crutches, and other soft goods;assists in preparation for and application of casts and orthopedic appliances;changes dressings;removes sutures, casts, and splints.
Assists Providers and nurses with orthopedic procedures, including procedures, including wound care, aspirations, minor surgical procedures, fractured reductions, etc.;instructs patients in cast and traction care and the use of orthopedic appliances.
Maintains clean and well-stocked cast and soft goods room;orders special supplies and/or equipment.
Coordinated data collection resources for the clinic information systems.
Remains current with orthopedic trends, care and supplies;performs other duties as assigned.
Basic knowledge of MS Office Software, including Excel and Word.
Maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism in all communications with physicians, patients, staff and professional contacts.
Be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
