Shift Details:
6 Month Assignment
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri (WED RDO)
0800-1830 (30)
Frist two weeks, Mon-Fri 0700-1530, there is also in-service training which will be scheduled once onboard, Mon-Wed 0700-1500
Respiratory Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and respiratory treatments.
Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
Perform diagnostic testing, including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas sampling.
Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response or code teams.
Educate patients and families on respiratory care, medications, and equipment use.
Monitor patient response to therapy and report changes to the healthcare team.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
CDCR and EHRS experience; Basic computer skills, fully vaccinated preferred.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements.
