Pediatric Echo Tech - Performs pediatric (neonatal to Adult congenital) echocardiograms on inpatients and outpatients
Presbyterian Hospital, which is a comprehensive congenital heart disease surgical center in the state of NM. The position requires the candidate to perform echocardiograms on patients of all ages with unrepaired and repaired CHD, ranging from preterm infants <500g to complex adult congenital patients. The candidate must have at least two years of experience in their current specialty and demonstrate the skills necessary to function in the Echo lab. The candidate must also have advanced knowledge of congenital abnormalities and imaging equipment.
Certifications required for the position: RDCS (PE), RCCS, BLS, NM State licensure. BLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or client. EPIC EMR experience preferred
Fetal echo skills are preferred but not required.
The shifts for this position are 8-hour day shifts.
Weekday evenings, weekends and holidays on call is rotated with all the staff.
Perform studies in both the inpatient and outpatient departments.
Philips and Client ultrasound machines
Merge Cardio PACS (will provide training)
SHIFTS: 8 hour day variable shifts (to be discussed in interview) - Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays may be required. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations (including both inpatient and outpatient outreach clinics) within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts. •On Call requirements: Yes –may be asked to cover call at PH & Lovelace Women's
ORIENTATION: 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training. Scrubs required and provided by the facility.
