Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technicians to work at a facility in Orangeburg, New York. These are registry positions with our company. *$100 Sign-On Bonus*
Pay Rate: $28 / hour

Shift details:
No special training is required at the time of employment. All trainings will be provided by the Nathan Kline Institute and laboratory staff.
The working hours for these positions is 08: 30 am to 05: 00 pm (ET), with NO overtime allowed.
Qualifications:
We will also require OMH and RFMH trainings to be completed upon appointment and background checks as follow:
Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.
Investigated through a Criminal Background Check (CBC) which includes State and federal Criminal History Record Checks.
Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR).
Checked against the Office of the Inspector General US Department of Health and Human Services (OIG)
Check against the US General Service Administration, (SAM)
The job description is:
Perform laboratory tests and procedures.
Follow approved policies and procedures in performing specific methodologies and instrument operations and follows approved policies for proper recording and reporting of results.
Perform and documents procedures required to ensure the quality of testing being performed. Responsibility includes quality control, instrument preventative maintenance, function checks and calibration.
Follow approved guidelines when troubleshooting and carry out appropriate course of action when control values and/or instrument functions checks are invalid or inconsistent.
Review patient results prior to release to the electronic medical record. Correlate final results with known facts concerning patient history/previous values and recognize the validity of results and identify/reject those results that are illogical.
Communicate critical values and barriers to testing to medical staff according to protocol. Document according to laboratory policy.
Complete assigned proficiency and competency assessments Maintain sufficient testing supplies in work area, including ordering if directed by lead.
Consistently generate and review pending logs
Participates in the training of new medical technologists at the direction of seniors and lead technologists.
Performs other duties as assigned.
