Shift Details
12 Hours,36 hrs per week or as needed.
Nights, Weekends, Holidays, 8 weeks only
Duties and Responsibilities:
RNs will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients recovering from major surgeries, strokes, complex medical conditions, severe injuries, and disabilities.
RNs will assist in restoring patient independence through rigorous, daily multidisciplinary therapies for at least three (3) hours a day with treatments of intensive therapy, and discharge readiness preparations with patient and family education.
Provides direct, individualized nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and treatment.
Responds promptly to changes in patient condition and initiates and maintains the computerized Plan of Care based on patient needs.
Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and promote positive patient outcomes.
Provides compassionate, age-appropriate care while respecting patient confidentiality, cultural needs, dignity, and psychosocial well-being.
Demonstrates sound clinical judgment, effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Floats to other departments as needed within scope of practice and competency; supports hospital policies, procedures, mission, values, and required education programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a RN Med Surg.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
MAB or CPI
LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City)
Must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date
