Job Description
Staff Today, a HAN Division, is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work at a facility in Concord, North Carolina . These are registry positions with our company Staff Today.
Pay Rate: $35 / hour
Details:
- 12-hour shifts, openings on days and evenings (1st and 2nd shift); scheduling includes shifts on weekends and holidays as needed. 13-week contract.
Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide companionship and basic care to patients
- Administer prescribed medications to patients
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Experience in adolescent, pediatric, school, public health, correctional-juvenile and/or emergency nursing practice preferred.
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
- Must have up to date credentials in the state of NC
