Uses medical imaging equipment to produce images of a body part, taken from different angles and by computer produces cross sectional images.
- Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional
- Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients
- Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images
- Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging
- Examining images to ensure they're usable
- Updating patient medical information
- Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment
Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required
M-F, 8: 30a-5: 30p
Occasionally 6: 30 am –3: 30 pm
Peds exp req.
AHA BLS req
CT registry preferred, but not req.
Gray scrubs
