Staff Today, a HAN Division, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work at a Correctional Facility in Dillwyn, Virginia . This is a registry position with our company Staff Today.
36hrs Travel Package
Weekly Gross Pay = $504
Local Hourly Rate (Taxable) = $14
Weekly Travel Stipend Non-Taxed- goes to the net pay = $945 (Hotel-595 Meals-350) Total Weekly ($945 is not taxed)= $1449
Feels like per hour = $40.25
$1449 div 36 hours = $40.25
Shift Details:
Day Shift (5: 00 AM – 5: 30 PM)
Night Shift (5: 00 PM – 5: 30 AM)
Must be able to work every other weekend, 1 major winter holiday, 1 major summer holiday.
Job Responsibilities:
Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
Maintain accurate patient medical records
Provide companionship and basic care to patients
Administer prescribed medications to patients
Minimum Qualifications:
At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Qualified for travel rate if permanent residence is 50+ miles away
Must have up to date credentials in the state of Virginia
A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
Ability to build rapport with patients
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Familiarity with medical terminology
Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients. LPN must be able to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
