Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a RN - Operating Room (OR) to work at a facility in Torrance, California. These are registry positions with our company.
Pay Rate: $74 / hour
*W2
Shifts Available:
Days, Nights Weekends and Holidays
12 hours
Minimum of 2 shifts per week or as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a RN - Operating Room (OR)
Ability to build rapport with patients
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Familiarity with medical terminology
CPR card issued by the American Heart Association
Must have up to date certification in the state of CA
Level 1 Trauma Operating Room (Required)
MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior)
Fire Card
Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies
Verify patient identity, surgical procedure, and consent
Assist in positioning and prepping the patient for surgery
Maintain a sterile environment during procedures
Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon (scrub role)
Monitor the patient's vital signs and condition (circulating role)
Document all aspects of the surgical procedure
Count instruments and sponges to ensure nothing is left inside
Communicate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety
Provide post-op updates and hand-off to PACU staff
