Job Description

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work at a correctional facility in Butner, North Carolina. These are registry positions with our company.

40hrs Travel Package
Weekly Gross Pay = $720
Local Hourly Rate (Taxable) = $18
Weekly Travel Stipend Non-Taxed- goes to the net pay = $938 (Hotel-588 Meals-350)
Total Weekly ($938 is not taxed)= $1658
Feels like per hour = $41.45
$1658 div 40 hours = $41.45

Shift Details:

  • 0600-1630pm, EOW

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
  • Must have up to date credentials in the state of NC
  • Qualified for travel rate if permanent residence is 50+ miles away

Responsibilities:

  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
  • Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records
  • Provide companionship and basic care to patients
  • Administer prescribed medications to patients
