Staff Today, a HAN Division, is currently seeking Direct Service Associates to work at a facility in Williamsburg, Virginia. These are registry positions with our company Staff Today.
Pay Rate: $23 / hour
Shifts Available:
Must be open and available to work any shift.
Shift assignment is based on our needs at the start of orientation.
40 hour workweek of 3-12 hour shifts per week & 1- 4 hour shift per week
Duties:
Ability to act in the capacity of essential personnel during emergency/crisis situations.
Provide therapeutic de-escalation in a safe manner.
Implementing behavior modification techniques in a Psychiatric Hospital
Providing support during all aspects of daily personal care, to include intervening with aggressive behaviors.
Ability to actively participate in process improvement projects and patient data collection
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a Direct Service Associates
Candidates have 1 year or more of experience working with psych patients (especially correctional and forensic)
Must have up to date credentials in the state of VA
Require AHA BLS certification.
Ability to build rapport with patients
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Familiarity with medical terminology
