Job Description
Staff Today, a HAN Division, is currently seeking a Diagnostic Procedures Technician II to work at a facility in Buena Vista, Colorado. These are registry positions with our company Staff Today.
Pay Rate: $48 / hour
Responsibilities:
- Testing patients' reflexes, vision, blood pressure, and other vital signs to ensure they are safe for surgery
- Recording test results and other data in the medical chart
- Preparing patients for examinations by cleaning and shaving the site where a procedure will be performed
- Performing diagnostic imaging procedures such as MRI scans or X-rays to obtain images of the body' s organs and structures
- Preparing equipment for tests such as sterilizing surgical tools or setting up imaging equipment
- Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions about their condition and treatment options
- Preparing patients for surgery by setting up equipment, preparing operating rooms, and assisting with preoperative and postoperative care
- Operating diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the body' s organs and structures (such as ultrasound machines)
- Taking samples of tissue from suspicious lesions or performing other diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
The requirements are:
- At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Diagnostic Procedures Technician II
- A valid and current license issued by the State of CO
- A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
