Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school and one (1) year of experience in a dental office or clinic.
Basic computer skills to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Products.
Role Description:
This is routine, non-professional work in assisting a dentist at chair side during the examination and treatment of patients and in related dental clinic work.
A resource is responsible for assisting in a dental clinic by maintaining records and dental equipment and supplies;scheduling and maintaining appointment lists;performing clerical duties;performing minor dental laboratory procedures, such as assisting in the construction of dentures and models of the teeth and mouth;managing housekeeping details;and performing other minor dental laboratory procedures which can be learned through experience on the job.
A resource may be required to take and process patient dental x-rays.
Resources work under the close supervision of a dentist and work is carefully reviewed in process and upon completion.
