Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional to work at a facility in Bennington, VT. These are registry positions with our company.
Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a Direct Support Professional
Ability to build rapport with patients
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Familiarity with medical terminology
CPR card issued by the American Heart Association
Must have up to date certification in the state of VT
Responsibilities:
Assisting clients with daily living activities (eating, bathing, dressing, hygiene)
Supporting clients with mobility and transportation
Helping with household tasks (cleaning, cooking, laundry)
Monitoring and documenting client's progress and health
Administering medications (if trained and permitted)
Encouraging independence and life skills development
Providing companionship and emotional support
Supporting clients in community activities and social interactions
Ensuring safety and well-being at all times
Communicating with families and healthcare providers as needed
