Licensed Professional Counselor– Jarratt, VA

Local Pay: 32.97/hour

Shift Details:

  • 8.00am - 4.30pm 

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

  • Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and treatment outcomes.

  • Conduct crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and behavioral health evaluations as needed.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, and correctional staff to coordinate care.

  • Educate patients on coping skills, behavioral health conditions, treatment goals, and available resources.

  • Respond promptly to mental health crises, behavioral concerns, and changes in patient condition.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with Virginia DOC policies, confidentiality standards, professional ethics, and security procedures.

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered behavioral health services while promoting safety, rehabilitation, and positive outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

  • Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor

  • Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents
