Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist Assistant to work at a facility in Detroit, MI.

Pay Rate: $30 / hour

Duties:
Job Summary:
As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities:
-Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
-Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
-Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
-Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
-Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
-Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
-Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
-Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.

Skills:
Required Skills & Experience:
-Candidates must have at least Six Months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant Or Dental Hygiene Assistant Or in a Dental Assistant Internship to be considered.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

-Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

Required Education:
-High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Education:
-Associate’s Degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required).

Required Certifications & Licensure:
-BLS certification.
-X-ray training or certification.

-Certified Dental Assistant.
