Job Description:
The incumbent will p erform a variety of routine manual tasks requiring light, medium, and heavy physical effort in cleaning and caring for assigned areas of the 221, 000 +/- square foot interior and around the exterior of the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform duties covering the full range of physical exertion required to keep the facility clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing to the residents, visitors, and staff.
The cleaner may be required to lift heavy articles, such as furniture, and move to a new location within the facility; which may include pick-up and removal of hazardous articles to the designated receptacle or appropriate place as required.
The cleaner shall be required to bend, kneel, and stand for an extended periods of time, as the job requires.
Ensure that all areas, such as patients'rooms and public areas are kept clean and sanitary.
Mopping, vacuuming and sweeping floors.
Cleaning windows and dusting furniture.
Washing and changing linens on patients'beds.
Ensuring that all waste is disposed of properly.
Empty trash cans.
The cleaner may also be asked to perform other tasks as needed, such as, distribution of linens and personal laundry to linen closets and residents closets.
