Health Advocates Network is seeking a Autism Paraprofessional to work at a Facility in Charleston, SC. This is a registry position with our company.
Pay Rate: $24 / hour
*W2
Responsibilities:
Supporting students with autism in classroom settings or during individual sessions.
Assisting with daily activities, such as learning tasks, social skills development, and personal care.
Implementing behavior management techniques to help manage challenging behaviors.
Promoting communication and social interaction, often with the use of specialized tools or strategies.
Working closely with teachers and therapists to support individualized education plans (IEPs) and other professional goals.
Monitoring and recording progress, providing feedback to the team about student development.
Encouraging independence and helping students develop life skills.
Qualifications:
At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Autism Paraprofessional
Previous experience working with children, especially those with special needs, can be helpful. This could include volunteer work or internships.
Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to work well with students, teachers, and parents is key.
